I have been trying unsuccessfully for almost a week now, right through three password changes to log in to the site in order to delete my page from their free hosting service and all I get is javascript error notices and a notice that one of their security certs has expired.

I followed all the rules but the screen keeps telling me to make sure caps lock is off and said I don't have cookies enabled, etc.

I do and even set security level low but nothing works...I used their feedback form but they just keep giving me a new password and the same tired advice. Obviously, no human involved...at all!

NOWHERE on the site is an email address to a live person! I even tried to return email geocities but my email address was refused!

I then used a different address and sent to(webmaster@yahoo.com) I got a polite email back saying I had the wrong department and that I needed to use the feedback form.

I sent them another email demanding they reroute it to the correct department and/or have the blasted page deleted.

No answer to that one and it has been a couple of days.

Any clue as to what I can do about this?

The stupid little page has all links back to my site and even uses my links page called from starlight AND it has a google pagerank of 7 That has killed my main sites pagerank in google.

Please someone....suggestions?????????

I would not know except to look for a phone number and call them directly.

Sorry,

But I can not find any personal contact information for them.

Whew! What a way to run a railroad!

I just recieved a message from member services with a semi- reply.

Semi meaning they only half answered my email.
Asked me for the same information again and told me, again, how to do it myself. Well another letter is off and I hope it is resolved before tomorrow as I am changing my cable service over to Knology and that email will no longer work.

Thanks, will keep you posted. :o:

Hi nitewing2,

I had a problem with Yahoo a year or so ago (they accepted a website into their directory but put the wrong URL!!!!) and after trying email etc finally called information and got a number. I called and after many transfers got through. Sure this was Yahoo Australia but I would assume there must be a number for Yahoo somewhere. Even if it's not the exact dept you want maybe you could then get them to transfer you.

Good luck I know how fustrating it can be.
