Just received an announcment from Postmasterdirect as follows:
"NetCreations is excited to announce their appointment as exclusive list manager of the ZDNet e-mail list rental properties.
NetCreations, Inc., the leading provider of 100% Opt-In. email marketing services, has entered into an exclusive agreement with ZDNet to bring its 2.4 million-name email housefile to market and to build and manage a double opt-in list of businesses and consumers interested in receiving targeted offers by email.
ZDNet - 2.4 Million Housefile, 35,000 Double Opt-In Addresses... and Growing!"
So despite statements to the contrary ZDnet is selling (or "renting") their supposedly private email lists.
Best to watch out what you subscribe to these days.
