I have a question regarding msn search results that yield multiple results for one site. If you go to msn and search for office chairs you will find that in the bottom results there is a listing at #3 and #9 (I'm only #11)......Is it risky to submit more than one time to looksmart with identical listings, the only difference being that there are different url's?

You can submit up to 5 url's to the LS express submission as long as the pages have different content.

Hi Doug and Potjack:

I believe you are referring to the two listings which appear to be mirror sites with different URLs.

Yes this could get you in a bunch of trouble (like getting one or both the sites dumped from the index).
Given Inks new drive to rid its index of spam I'd say this site is a prime target.

yea Mel, that's the site that I'm talking about. Its the exact same site. It looks like there are just two url's associated with it.

It seemed like it was a good tactic to mokey with looksmart listings, but I also thought it might be kind of risky, I guess it is.

I don't see the point in submitting 2 mirror URL's to Looksmart when one URL can get listed 5 times....

couldn't you use this tactic to toy with any url based search aspect of msn?

The listing in question here has the #3 url up there with the keyword in the url. The descriptions aren't that different, it must come down to other factors in this listing though. Couldn't Ink have somthing to do with this?
