Which UK directories should you definitely make an effort to submit to - say if you had to choose 10, and how often do you submit - just the once?

That's a thread about UK directories. It's an old thread.

You need to research the directory first. Don't "ever" submit to one that requires you to link back. Bad stuff.

How often? Always submit one time and forget about it. Why would you want to submit more than once?

Out of curiosity? Do standard .com directories work as well as .uk directories for .uk sites?

I am speaking in a general sense considering all of the variables, traffic quality, targeting, search relevancy, authority etc. etc.

I am no expert, but don't all major SE and directories have UK areas don't they?

It seems that I get UK product sites mixed up in my searches w/ Google and Yahoo all the time, I never understood why they weren't seperated more :p
