Hehehe, a new twist on email marketing.Dear Reader,

Please do not reply to this e-mail address. It will not be received or processed.

I received your e-mail address as a result of your activity on one or more web sites that I operate. Chances are you filled out a form with personal info and agreed to receive emails.

My name is Jon Knight and I am the CEO of a company called Commonwealth Technologies. We are located at PO Box 4012, in Chandler, Arizona, 85244. You can write and ask me for additional information such as a personal e-mail address and phone number.

First of all, I am not in the habit of spamming people because I don't like it myself. So, if you do not wish to receive another e-mail from me you can opt out by sending a blank e-mail to:

removeme3@1webportal.com.

Please be sure to send it from this e-mail address so I remove the correct one from my list.

I am an internet marketer, web site and software developer. I build web sites, custom software and provide business marketing services to people all over the globe.

My company is listed as one of the top 100 companies worldwide that provide these kinds of products and services.

You can read some things that the press has to say about my company at the following link:

http://www.prweb.com/releases/2006/4/prweb378265.htm

I would very much like to send more information to you about my company and the services we provide. I would like to explain how what we do can benefit you. However, there is a new law in the land that disallows me from doing that without your permission. It's called the CAN SPAM act and requires, among other things, that I share my personal information with you first. I believe that this was accomplished in the third paragraph of this message.

Second; I would like to share links to fr-ee software downloads, links to other f.re_e products and services, as well as share information that will help you whether or not your business is online, and also show you the various techniques I employ to market to people worldwide.

If this is permissible and you agree, I would very much like it if you would please respond with a blank e-mail to the following e-mail address:

positive@1webportal.com

You need not type a subject or anything in the body. Just a blank e-mail will do. However, should you choose to communicate with me I do read through any messages sent to this e-mail address.

In response, I will immediately send you a link to download three software programs (that cost you nothing) that I have used to develop online business.

In the future, I will send other emails to you. Never more than once a week. These emails will contain valuable, business oriented information that you can apply right away, and also contain links to f_re.e downloads.

I also want you to know that, should you decide to opt in, I will NEVER share or sell your information. I guard your information and keep it safe from hackers, spammers and other malcontents. Your information is as valuable to me as it is to you. Besides, I learned a long time ago that what goes around comes around.

Again, should you defer and wish to be removed, please send a blank e-mail to:

removeme3@1webportal.com

However, should you be intrigued by this message and wish to find out more (and receive an e-mail with a link to download three programs at no charge to you whatsoever), please send a blank e-mail to:

positive@1weportal.com

Thank you very much for your valuable time. I really appreciate you reading through this message before making a decision. Until next time, I remain...

Sincerely Yours,

Jon Knight - CEO
Commonwealth Technologies PO Box 4012 Chandler, AZ. 85244

I hate that :|

"I don't want to spam you" in a freakin spam message.

If I go and say "I don't want to spit on you" and do it anyway is it any less offensive? Of course not dumb@$$.

Spammers make me sick. They will always try to find some way to weasel around existing laws!

Since this weasel seems to be touting his adherence to the CAN-SPAM ACT, did this particular weasel add the required subject line to denote the email is of a commercial nature? No, I'll bet he didn't.

He also has to send email from an email address that can be responded to. Your weasel didn't do that.

He also is supposed to provide full contact information (e.g., including a phone number) as well as an actual website address. Your weasel didn't do that either!

In fact, your weasel didn't satisfy any of the criteria outlined in the CAN-SPAM ACT which he indicates he is both: aware of, and knowledgeable of.

I think your weasel's UCE deserves special treatment, Edward. Did you forward it off to the FTC and SWAK it? ;)

Wow,

I hate spam because of the amount of money that we loose with the bandwidth it takes :p A bit over 100k messages a day so far and growing :|

I have never however taken the time to fight it like Deb... we should rename her "Super Spam Fighter of Doom".

Watch out spammers, she will hunt you down and swak u :p

LOL, pretty easy to see some of the various techniques he is employing to sidestep spam filters. ;)

I think that should read;

First of all, I am in the habit of spamming people because I can. So, if you do not wish to receive another e-mail from me you best not reply. You can confirm my email has reached a valid email address by sending a blank e-mail to:

The sad thing is that many people still reply to these idiots.

I wish that we had a better way of dealing with spam. Blacklists and spam filters aren't enough.

Yes sir, and the biggest reason people have started to reply more and more is because of the recent laws imposed. They have a feeling that these guys are now "in check" and have to have a way to opt out, and by law must obey the opt out.........

Wouldn't it be nice if it were even close :)
