Hi everybody,

Thank your Doug for the opportunity. I look forward to helping this place grow, and be a valuable resource for all those interested.

I am not a Meta, or Editall editor for the ODP, however I do edit some higher level cats. I have been an editor for a year in the Open directory, and have a nice working knowledge of how it works.

As an editor i can not discuss the internal workings of the ODP, but I feel I can add value and answer most general questions about the directory, as well as how it works.

I don't go there for the water, i go there for the miles of 80-200 ft high sandstone cliffs that line the gorge.

I m a rock climber

I went down the upper and lower one time in a make shift raft of tied together inner tubes with two other people. 9 tubes tied together, no paddles, no life jackets, and two cases in a cooler.

Can't beleive i am still here after the lower section.

....I've run canoe/kayak trips form GA to WV and the New was one river I've never done. At the height of my whitewater abilities I could have done the top section solo but the rest of that river is a bear! You did the lower in a make-shift rafty-thingie, oh-my! But then I wouldn't hang from rock faces....:scattered
