Datanews, an offline Belgian magazine, reported on June 30 (NR 25) that publicityweb.be got banned by Google.
This, together with about 10 of their clients, including some very well known companies such as Bank Card Company (bbc.be), and Heytens (heytens.com).
Publicityweb is one of the bigger players in the sem industry in Belgium.
According to the article, Gerald Claessens, manager of Publicityweb, doesn't like the fact that Google encourages the reporting of spam :D
The reporter adds that for a long time, SEM companies in Belgium thought that Google had other things to worry about then making it difficult for local offenders.
Google's comment in this matter was that if some people don't go by the rules, they have to be penalized.
The story is also covered by zdnet. Unfortunately it's available in Dutch only.

I hope this is the start of a more sever anti-spam policy in Belgium.
Way to go Google !
