Welcome to the forums ge6789! :hi:
Without the url we cannot check to see. I do know that it is taking one to two weeks now.

When you log into the iNeedHits control panel and look at the URL listings page, you should see something indicating you are included and a status thing with a last refreshed date. I don't use ineedhits myself, but with positiontech, you will see a check mark under where it says included.
If you see this, it means you have been included in the database. If you see nothing, then your pages haven't yet been included. There have been some problems with Inktomi recently, but these seem to be largely sorted out, so I would fire off an email to support asking them to take a look at it.
You may see an error thing (possibly a cross). In this case, either you typed in the URL to your pages incorrectly (check this first) or the pages were down when Inktomi tried to view them. In the first case, you can substitute your incorrect URL for the correct one.
Let me know what the problem is on these forums, as I am sure we will be able to help further with more information.

I agree. I have had a similar experience. I wish they would just promise 4 days for example - something they could deliver. Then I would not feel so very disappointed.

Hi everyone,
Pastimeguy welcome to the forums, :hi:
If you want to be included in the inktomi database i would suggest using position tech. Others might offer the same service but i find p_tech to be helpful and accurate.
When you first submit your page to be spiderd it will take anything up to 72 hours, and once it's been indexed every 48 thereafter. P_tech offer good facilities to track the page, the date of when it was last spiderd and other useful features.
BTW remember that it only indexes the url that you submit at a cost of $39.00 and $25.00 for each consecutive url thereafter. (upto 1000)
Anyway hope that helps. :D
Oh, i'm not affiliated with p_tech just a satisfied customer. :thebomb:

I use Position Tech but I do not think any one is better than the other from what opinions and experiences people have expressed in other threads here. You already paid for ineedhits...there is no need to repay PositionTech for the same pages...All Inktomi Paid Inclusion providers are providing the same service, with the exception of customer service...
Just be patient...Some of the pages I have submitted through the Paid Inclusion have taken up to a week to appear....Inktomi has had some problems with this service (not keeping up with the refrsh times)...
...and welcome :hi: pastimeguy

ge6789,
Your original post said that you were not included. I guess you are now, right ? Inktomi can drive decent traffic to your site, but you have to ensure the pages you are including are targeting search phrases that are not too competitive, otherwise results from Looksmart and Overture will certainly be above you.
If you submit pages that target 3 or 4 word phrases, then you will reap the rewards.
I know this is a little off-topic, but it is useful info for when they finally include you.

Well after 3 emails to ineedhits (and not 1 response back) I finally got my site added. I have a real problem with companies that advertise a service and don't deliver as promised. I guess ineedhits won't be in business very long if they keep up this kind of service.
On another note thank you for the welcome everyone.
