I have a widescreen monitor and when I open the page in full screen it looks normal when I close the ie up at around 1200 it starts to look funny so I would assume it has to do with the second column of text near the photo, maybe you could use a small photo and make the photo open into a new window full size? would also help the page load time.

It doesn't look like it's a CSS issue, although it's somewhat similar.
The problem is that some of your images, as grungee pointed out, are way too wide. Between the images on the left, the cell on the right, and the section in the middle, the horizontal plane at its widest point is wider than your browser window (you may see a horizontal scrollbar that reflects this.)
About the only thing you can do is to either reduce the size of the large images in the center or the ones on the left (or both.)

I don't know what the problem is, but I see two different pages in IE and FireFox.
FireFox only shows a couple of images. IE shows more images than that, as well as text and the page layout is totally screwed up in IE.
I'm using a 1024 x 768 screen resolution for both.
