Yearly Fee

I just read that Yahoo is charging $299 for each year.

Question: How does this apply to people who were put in the directly before there were any fees?

It should have no effect on any sites that were pre-fee. That is, you will not be removed, or asked to pay a fee, if you were listed prior to the implementation of their fee based submission service.

if you where in before they started up the new annual fee you won't have to pay again next year. only those who submitted and where accepted on or after Dec. 28 2001 are subject to the annual.

I was in way before any fees. So I should still be free for next few years? (unless they change rules.)

I want to request a change in description and was concerned thet a bonehead there might say, oh look, you need to start paying fees.

As far as desciption changes, they say they allow 25 words, but I look at my listing and competitors and everyone has about 8-10.

Perhaps it's best to just ask for one or two new words at a time instead a fully reworked description. Comments? Thanks again.
