Maybe this is old news to most of you or maybe I get amused easily...

I just ran across this free website portal system that enables you to create a unique portal with a unique look and feel. What does this have to do with ODP? It pulls ODP information onto your website. Within 15 minutes I was able to have a fully functional dmoz directory on my website. At first I was a little leary because of licensing & legal issues, but after reading the dmoz license I was set at ease.

I can see where this could become a very beneficial tool for making a website "sticky" for our visitors. Most people outside of SEO have never heard of dmoz, so they won't know any different as to whose info you're providing.

There's a whole lot more that this system offers such as customization for speciffic themes & affiliate options.

Maybe tools like this lends to the slowness and problems on dmoz lately?

Yes, that could be FS. If all these sites are constantly pulling from the dmoz servers then it does stand to reason that the servers could get bogged down.

I had added it to a couple of sites. About 10 percent of the time it seems to return the "Server is under a heavy load message."

Other than that it works good. Let's you sell keywords too.
