Matt Cutts (http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/undetectable-spam/) has a great spam story, go read.
What reminded him was a new scheme from V7N: Contextual Links @ V7N are undetectable to search engines. Whether it be by human or algorithmic filtering, our links are impossible to detect. Additionally, an enforced non-disclosure agreement prevents both publishers and advertisers from revealing participating publishers and advertisers.I got that email offer, too.

LOL Toooooo damn funny.
And guess who is behind this OUTDATED link scheme?
That's right.
You friend and mine, and many other's as well;
John Scott
... the marketing guru of the V7N network. You know the name. :green:
I guess he thinks this scheme is not unethical as well? That's what I read in the MC thread. Too damn funny.
This may be the funniest thing yet.
BTW: This is the agency that has article writers of this caliber:

The V7N Network must be a BUNCH OF IDIOTS. Period.
http://contextual.v7n.com/why.php
Can you believe this??
Amazing stuff. Astounding stuff.
The lengths and depths some firms will stoop is truly and absolutely unbelievable. To think that LOTS of poor website owners will get duped into buying this crap/Shite/Poop/Scum is beyond the comprehension of any common sense thinking brain.
Has anyone ever tried reading in here for more than one minute?

I have. It's a bunch of website owners and link mongers who are teaching the owners how to do link exchanges, etc, and how to fool the search engines. The entire forums is made up of people scheming away.
It's a shame there are sooo many BAD places for people to find out there.
It appears he announced it last week:
http://www.internet-marketing-blog.com/
So there you have it boys and girls. A truly, truly big o'l mess is about to happen.
They will GET people for $1000 to $2000 bucks with this scheme:

I'd be ashamed.

Loren is a fool for posting such crap as well.
V7N is paying bloggers $10 to put their ad in blog posts. My goodness. So here is what we have:
Any bloggers in cahoots with this scheme and accepting the money from V7N could be busted. Any advertiser buying an ad from this network could be busted. Any other publisher accepting payment for these type "undetectable" link spam could be busted. And of course, the entire V7N Network could be busted. How many thousands of websites could Google wipe out with one swift button click?

I'm speechless. Please see all the website owners in that thread he is going to be hurting. Please see all the website owners with blogs he will be hurting.
He will force Google to not count a link from "all" blogs. Actually, it's not a bad idea anyway.

The problem with the idea isn't the idea itself. It COULD be a good one, IF implemented properly.
Contextual advertising is nothing more than what Google Ad..... does (among others).
This is what no one has answered yet, though, in any of it: are these links going to be contained in a cross-site script a la Google Ad..... ads? If they are, then there's really nothing wrong with that (other than if they're done the way kontera.com does them, they're annoying as hell.)
The problem is one of two things, though:
1) The link is a regular hyperlink.
2) The link is a hyperlink a la kontera.com and therefore not a regular hyperlink. Sort of contradicts the whole SEO thing.
Personally, I'd prefer if it were #2, and at first when I read that I thought it MIGHT be the angle (although I doubted it then and I doubt it even more now.)

Oh no. It's a direct link for SEO ONLY. There is no other reason for the link scheme. I guess you don't know this john scott fellow too well? Matt Cutts knows exactly what it's all about. You can bet Google won't be passing link juice at all from it. All those website owners will be burnt badly for dishing out a few thousand for nothing.

Yes, anything John Scott puts his hand to turns to spam. He has a history of preying and cheating money out of the uninformed. The "man" is a low life.

John Scott does not have a very good history as I remember. He claims to help people, but in reality only helps himself IMHO.

I know him...I just couldn't tell from the wording. It was rather obtuse and ambiguous.
