Here's one that I discovered last week. Take a look at the search phrase "keyword stuffing" on Google.com.
The Link (http://www.google.com/search?q=keyword+stuffing)
Then click through each top twenty entry. You will see that the text on the vast majority is simply duplicated from site to site.
What is also interesting to note, is the relatively low body text keyword density range on many of these pages.

hehe,
Most of those sites are all affiliates of Aesop Marketing(Mark Joyner)
From what I understand, he advocates trying to figure out all the different ways there could be to trick the search engines. The content copy you see on most of them is directly from him. I guess the affiliates just copy it word for word.
Geez, I would not want to own a domain that just simply used the content of a marketing guy.
Not only that, but if Google ever found this out, sites would start dropping out of the index right and left.

I didn't really spot the Aesop Marketing but you can bet your life I'll be looking into it now.
With regards to just copying the content - all well and good until he makes a big error then they all fall with him. Pretty dumb thing to do really.

What makes me sick is the fact that they are teaching you HOW to spam the search engines. They are spelling it out.
Anyone who has followed the engines knows the tricks out there already.
What is sad is that this is showing the newbies out there HOW to get banned from the engines AND they do not even know it.
I know all the ways out there, BUT you and I would certainly Never spell out the HOW to do it on our sites.
Aesop is widely known. They have a great influence on the net with respect to new webmasters. Things like this are not good and is the reason why the engines have to resort to refining their spam filters on a continuing basis.

You've obviously done more research on this than I.
How long has Aesop been around? I will get into researching them when I have some time on my hands. It's on my "to do" pad!

A very long time. They were one of the first I ran into upon connecting up for the first time 6 years ago.
