View Full Version : What happened to Freeserve?

About a month back I seem to remember Freeserve displaying google results. Went back to check, and now all I can see are up to 3 inktomi listings from Freeserve (and their partners), followed by paid Overture listings.

And then nothing.

This leads to an awful lot of search results with no decent returns whatsoever. From the figures I can find, Freeserve is still a relatively important portal within the UK. Does anybody know if this is temporary, or if Freeserve plan on providing any other results?

Yes. I use to get a few referrals from freeserve and now get nothing. Oh well, they went the way of a dying breed.

Must have been down temporarily, as I can see Google again now. Tried from several machines at work earlier and was getting absolutely no Google fill whatsoever.

Gotta love search engines, they keep us on our toes.
