I became a GoGuide a couple of days ago. I look forward to editing my UK category, and maybe many others soon :D :D :D

It must be love ;)

I too became an editor, it seems like it could be fun to watch it grow, and to be a part of it. Hopefully I will be able to actually start doing something in the next couple of weeks, the email I recieved says we have 5 days to add sub-cats :( maybe I should have waited a bit longer to sign up so I could clear my plate a bit more.

True-- the system automatically blocks the new guide's “right to add new topics” after five (5) days and flags the username so the guide's work can be reviewed by one of our TC’s (Topic Coordinator). It’s done like this so our TC’s can monitor the development of all categories.

One of the biggest questions we had to tackle when starting this directory was how we could allow guides to build topics and still make sure the outward growth of the topics didn’t overlap another category. Cutting off the guide’s right to add new topics after five days and then sending in a TC was figured the best solution. This allows us to proofread all categories, maintain directory structure, monitor topic development, while still giving our guides full freedom to build topics they specialize in.

maybe I should have waited a bit longer to sign up so I could clear my plate a bit more.
Just drop us a note when your ready. Your TC will turn that feature back on for you and once you are finished adding your topic(s), the feature will be turned back off, so that your TC can review your topic(s) submissions.

I too have volunteered to be editor of Sports and Recreation category!
But I will mostly concentrate on surfing, kitesurfing and fishing, my favorite things in the world!

Hi SubmissoR,

Cool, can't wait to see what great fishing sites you'll add. Fishing is my favorite thing in the world next to bowling. :)

Football (or Soccer to the American's) is my first love, I have mind of useless knowledge that I'm more than willing to share. Also James Bond films. I didn't see a category for good old 007, but should there be one, I have a fair share of knowledge.
