How/where can I get accurate hit reports???
I submitted to Inktomi using ineedhits.com and their reports have this disclaimer... "Note: Click-Thru reports currently only reflect a small percentage of the entire click-thrus Inktomi Search Partners refer to your URL."
If the "daily report" shows I recieved 100 hits from this service yesterday, their claim is that the report is only a small percentage.
It seems like the ACTUAL total not a small %
THX!

:hi: page1position1...welcome to the forums.
The click-thru data is very similar to Position Tech...in that it only reflects a small percentage of all Inktomi traffic. For a more accurate reading of all inktomi traffic, look at your log files or stats, if you are using a stats program.

HI page1position1,
I'd like to know too! I'm processing my log files for this info now, seems to be the best as I can look at all the specific terms and rankings.
If you have access to your raw log files, try a 30 day free trial from 123loganalyzer.com or similar...most have a detailed search engine report.

page1position1,
I've always thought INeedHits' disclaimer meant that their reports only show the hits from MSN, AOL and HotBot, thus "a small percentage".
Well, since I get most of my Inktomi traffic from MSN and AOL (HotBot is a joke), their disclaimer is a bit misleading.
Just my 2 cents...

Help, I must be blind. I went into the Ineedhits member/account management center (where I paid for my Inktomi inclusion) but I cannot find any type of report other than a date my site was included. Someone please hlep or e-mail me. I know it's probably right in front of my face but I'll be darned.....thanks so much

Hi Kim,
Sorry it took so long to get back! I just checked my email and noticed you've been trying to get ahold of me. :o:
OK, login and click on status of URL's.
Next click on the "little file with blue arrow icon" near the bottom right. This will give you the report options.
You can check to see your listing at MSN, AOL, Iwon (i think) hotbot? don't remember....but that's how you find the reports.
Remember this is only a small % of total traffic. Check your raw log files if you have access to them. You can dl a 30 day free trial log analyzer (123.loganalyzer.com) or similiar to help you read the files.
