Welcome to the forums Jitesh :hi:
Ask is basically a Meta Search engine. It displays results from various Databases. The top results you see are taken from Overture. These are paid results. The results below that are taken from Ask Jeeves owned Teoma. If you want to get your site there, you can submit through their Pay for inclusion program, which will cost you $30 for first domain. However this is not a guarantee of ranking but of regular weekly crawling.
hope this helps!

Direct Hit is or was one search engine from which Ask took results in the Past. Getting your site in Dmoz will also get you in Aks eventually. As far as search according to the query in concernced, I dont think thats the case.

Teoma and Ask Jeeves share the same database. I think you will get the exact same results for both engines except Teoma doesn't filter adult material.
I guess you can get into the database through ineedhits or by linking your page to an existing page in the database.

I'm not sure if that is correct...or at least in my case. Using my home page title as the search phrase, my site does not even come up in the top 100, though it has been in DMOZ for 18mos or so.
Could it be that teoma doesn't like my .tv domain name?
