I am not sure, I don't think it would be legal if it was an April Fools joke, but at the bottom it says copyright Bill Gates, do you think Netscape sold dmoz to Microsoft. It is now called MDP, as in the Microsoft Directory Project, and there is a microsoft help pop up window. Whats going on?

Founded in 1975, Microsoft (Nasdaq "MSFT") is the worldwide leader in software, services and Internet technologies for personal and business computing. The company offers a wide range of products and services designed to empower people and llamas through great software -- inflatable or otherwise.

Well, it's started.
As an editor at the former DMOZ future MDP I just received the "official" email from M$ entitled "How to be a proper servant of GOD".
Among the many new guidlines MDP editors are required to comply with are:
1.) Immediately upon awaking in the morning, one should rise, face towards Redmond, and Bow 2 Bill, or B2B. This will affirm within each editors mind that Bill is GOD.
2.) GOD Editors are now required to only include sites that have the familiar and comforting "Best Viewed With IE x.x" displayed prominently on the site in question, preferably using a < h1 > tag.
3.) Those MDP editors that refuse to switch from reviewing sites for inclusion with Netscape Navigator to Internet Explorer by the end of the day today will summarily be eliminated through powerful electronic surges of Ones and Zeroes into their mouse, which will fuse the plastic casing and fry the poor little mouse balls, rendering the mouse inoperable, and thereby rendering the offender incapable of being a complete human being (as everyone knows that "mice and men" are closely related).
These are only three of the long list included in the new MDP guidlines for GOD editors.
With Bill at the helm of MDP, I can only predict that soon there will only be M$ sites within the new MDP Directory which is a good thing, because Google's PigeonRank algo will soon kick in, will see all the duplicate content, thereby eliminating M$ from the Internet.

Nice to see that ODP has nothing better to do with their time...
And yes, I'm mad because I could have sworn that I was God, not Bill Gates. :(

Did anyone also notice their rankings on dmoz change with this Microsoft facelift, my site went down from no.1 to 15, when are they going back to normal?
