abandoned pages

does anyone know what happens if google finds a page linked from a site with high pr and next month the link is gone?

is this site kept in google with pr0 or will it be dropped from the index?

im planning to feature a directory especially for sites that are _not_ getting into dmoz or yahoo.

actually i own pr0.de for a 2 years now,
never knew what do with that abbreviaton :)

I believe that your talking about one site to a different site.

Well I'm not sure about that but I can say that I had a few pages on my site that did not have any links to them from my site and they were removed from the index. Added some links to them and they are now back in the index.

hm. i got some sites with high PR.
and for example a domain xzy.com that isnt in google.

if i link to that domain i guess google will spider it and it will be in the serps.

but what happens if at googles next spidering those links are gone. xzy.com would still be a fully fledged domain, maybe w/ 50 internal pages, but no back-links.

would it get dropped than or would it just rank more poorly ?

I might be wrong but I believe that google would need to find at least one link from some other site to xzy.com for xzy.com to stay in the index.
