The Net Extra Slow Tonight?

I have been to a few other places tonite and it seems that no one is online. Why is this?

Amazing.... I went to a client yesterday who was still sending W32 bla-bla-bla and trying to recover from it. Maybe we all, from this BB, updated and accessed (sp?) our virus software early enough to avoid a problem with our systems....

Yea.,, very little email spam at all the last two nites. I do believe many are experiencing this virus thing. Heard something more about it today.

lol Good to know I was missed at least. Actually, trust me - I was hurting just as much. I had major comms problems which meant that I couldn't get online for around 48 hours! Was like having my arms cut off and my eyes gouged out with red hot pokers. It took all of five minutes to start getting the withdrawal symptoms of the net!

Never again. Still, at least I got caught up on some work. It forced me into getting some paper based work done for a change.

On a serious note. I have had computers since I was about 8 or 9 years of age.

Now bear in mind that I am usually the most calm person that you could ever hope to meet. However, when my connection died, I was astounded at how my frustrations level heightened. I was a tad grumpy to say the least. And bored? I was bored beyond all recognition! Is this healthy I wonder? :D

And of course, being in our line of work, it is a tad hard to do much without needing to connect to the net. I almost went to the local cyber-cafe to feed the addiction! lol

Don't have those cafe's around here. I am lucky as I use Bellsouth's dsl service and also have a dialup with them. Rare that both would be down at the same time.

On vacation here, but took some time out to flame that zealous sysop at SEFs. I won't mention Jim Wilson's name, but I've had it with him. He allows his goto cronies to flame me, then threatens to ban me from his forums. I am so sick of their biased attitudes over there. I like this forum, because its members are allowed to discuss EVERY problem or opinion they have, and not just the problems or opinions that a sysop decides. Keep up the good work. There are many knowledgeable people here.

As for the spammer slowdown, maybe my CODE-SPAM worm is working after all!!!:D

Well, I am sure I speak for us all when I say that I am shocked. I have found "that forum" to be an absolute pleasure in the past. Not only that but I have seen it welcome new members with open arms and a warm friendly smile.

I have been having very slow results from the web for the past several hours, but now am getting pretty fast results from the forum server, but my Server in Baltimore is so slow that sometimes the connection times out before I can load a page.
