:hi: Hi!

Is anyone aware of any kind of service or sofware specialized in providing information about searched terms in a non english language?. Something similar to wordtracker or first position but with ˇSpanish!, French and German.

TIA:cheers:

Welcome to the forums Grafos! :hi:

No, not that I know of. You should get your programming friends over there to make something. It would be very useful.

Thanks for your welcome message Doug!.

It looks a really interesting forum. I'll try to come back regularly.

It would be great to have a programmer at hand for these matters, but unfortunaly this is not the case (...well, not easily). Even then it would be neccesary to get results from a search engine, isn't it?
Is there any free (or low cost) database to get the info?. Maybe Dmoz...?

Any idea?

Excuse me for my english. It's much more difficult to write than to read, but I do my best.

Best Regards

Wordtracker gets all of it's information from the metacrawlers of the internet. They are very receptive to you if you contact them about it. By reading how wordtracker uses the metacrawlers to analyze the info it gets from them, a good programmer would be able to come up with something. There should be a few metacrawlers over there that might be cooperative to you for this purpose.

Very good idea. I'll contact them and search for some info in DMOZ too.

Thanks a lot.

WordTracker does include non-English keywords, but there is no way to indicate that you are interested in a particular language. For example: if I want to use the keyword "location", and I need it in French, there is no way to specify that. The result is that I get back related terms to the English word "location". It works OK if your keyword is unique to one language, ex "hebergement".

I contacted WordTracker some time ago (6 mos? - maybe more) and they said they were working on it but could not give any idea of time frame.

For multi-lingual sites, I still use WordTracker but also rely on e-spotting's keyword generator when I need to specify the language.

Here are a few links for some European languages:

English

German
http://de.espotting.com/popups/keywordgenbox.asp
Italian
http://it.espotting.com/popups/keywordgenbox.asp
French
http://fr.espotting.com/popups/keywordgenbox.asp
Spanish
http://es.espotting.com/popups/keywordgenbox.asp

Of course, it is not as exhaustive as WordTracker, it is more similar to the goto keyword tool. But at least you can get a good indication of what people are searching for.

Good luck!
