Hello Tas79,

Are you the owner or management?

Is the reason you are asking for your own personal knowledge or for the company?

Are you looking for ways to improve customer service?

If you are privy to them, we'd like to know what kind of traffic and the amount of search queries you are currently receiving.

Also, what about a list of all your current partners.

We'll tell you that it sure would be beneficial for you or other Reps to visit here often and keep us in the know and to answer questions the visitors to these forums will have if they know a Rep is a "Moderator" here.

Anyway, that is just our input as a "conversation starter" to inspire some more interaction between the public and Ah-Ha.

On a personal note, we'd like to know what you would say is the best way to do our keyword research to find the best words to bring us not just visitors, but BUYERS.

Thank you.

Sharon and Roy,

Thank you for responding to my inquiry, I do work at ah-ha.com. I monitor the forums to get feedback on ah-ha.com and the PPC industry in general.

We keep our search results "family friendly" and do our best to deliver high quality traffic. On average we recieve 10-12 million search queries per day, some of our larger partners include Alta-Vista, Earthlink and LookSmart. We have more than 250 other distribution partners.

In response to your question, this is what I would recommend for getting the best ROI -- at least with ah-ha.com:

We really pride ourselves on customer service, if you have an account and want some one-on-one feedback, our client support personnel will look at your site and offer suggestions for maximizing ROI. We also have a keyword-build out tool similar to Overture's "suggestions."

Include the misspellings of the keyword as well, for most of us are still dependant upon the spellchecker.

I also find that keywords that are more specific to your company have a higher ROI. General terms may generate a lot of traffic, but not necessarily sales.

Make sure that the URL takes the customer straight to the product advertised. (its simple, but a lot of people forget)

Last but not least, all PPC search engines offer account management systems. Periodically check to monitor the traffic that you recieve and make adjustments to your bids. Over time you will know what keywords are worth being in top placement, and which ones aren't. Our account management system even has a feature that allows you to choose what placement you want so you do not have to constantly change your bid prices.

There is software avaliable to help monitor your account, but this is some general advice to help maximize our service and your investment.

Let me know if there is any other questions, or feedback that you might have.

Welcome to the forums Tas79!

Is this an online tool? If it is online, do you need to open an account to have access to it, or is it just available to the general public? Is there a URL that you can post to this?

If the tool is not online, is it a software download in the form of a program or a toolbar?

If it is a toolbar, do you bundle or piggyback it with any other software, and if so, what ones?

Hi Taz,

Could you please expand on the toolbar software a little more? Reference my questions posted above the post made by OptWizard to whom you have already replied.

Thanks.

The keyword build-out tool is availble online through your Account Management System. It is not available in a software or toolbar format. This option suggests keyword phrases surrounding a keyword that is entered.

There is also a keyword generation tool that helps clients build synonyms and corresponding phrases. This is also available in the Account Management System.

Hi tiffanyf,

Thanks for the information. Does the keyword build-out tool also provide any type of information as to how many times a particular keyword or phrase has been searched on in the Ah-Ha database over a monthly period? (like word tracker does?)

If it does, this would make it extremely useful for choosing popular keywords/phrases to build targeted traffic for search terms.

It'd be nice if more of the PPC's offered a tool such as the one Ah-Ha is providing their clients with.

Thanks,
-Deb

Currently, it only provides the keywords/phrases, but we are expanding the tool within the Account Management System to include inventory also.

In the sign-up process, the keyword generation tool provides inventory as well as a budget tool that allows you to enter the amount of money you would like to spend with the account, and the keyword list that comes back spreads your money out among the inventory to bring you the most clickthroughs for your budget.

Hope this helps.
