Please correct me if I'm wrong, but deeplinking is submitting muliple, unique pages from a site to appropriate categories.

Given this is okay at ODP, my questions are:

1. Is there a limit, total or daily submissions, to the number of deeplink pages that can be submitted?

2. Does this limit apply if the URLs are submitted as unique "home page" directories, such as www.portal.com/biz1 and www.portal.com/biz2?

3. Is there any reason a portal should NOT encourage its members to submit their own web pages?

Important questions for a site representing a diverse collection of web pages.

Clarification greatly appreicated.;)

Just use common sence, these are volunteer editors reviewing these. If a page is appropriate to a category, go ahead and submit it. But don't submit every page from your site to every page that has a remote possibility of being listed.

2. Does this limit apply if the URLs are submitted as unique "home page" directories, such as www.portal.com/biz1 and www.portal.com/biz2?

I can't even begin to imagine how many sites are listed as http://aol.com/bizx...many editors do not like to list free hosted sites though.

3. Is there any reason a portal should NOT encourage its members to submit their own web pages?

If the site is good, valuable, and unique, there is no reason.

hey tgorski, you never asked the question about how Google handles multiple submissions in these forums? You asked about ODP but not Google?
