I seem to be having a problem submitting to Yahoo. I keep getting an error message telling me "bad or missing state/province in address (511)"
What the heck does that mean? Now I know some people may not care too much for Ohio, but....
I have filled this out 4 times now...and listed Ohio as my state each time....but I keep getting the same error message....any ideas????

I would cut a paste the error message and send it to yahoo! it sounds like a server / coding problem, they are good and should get back to you pronto

Any suggestion as to where I should send this to? They seem to have everything listed from signing them as speakers, to buying hats....but nothing about problems with their website.

Lee, I thought you were submitting to Looksmart? The answers I gave you in the other thread was for LS, not Yahoo. Yahoo cares a BUNCH about which category you submit to.

Hi Doug...I finished submitting to Looksmart and then tried submitting to Yahoo. I understand that the info you gave was for Looksmart. But now I can't finish this submission for Yahoo. I just called them and even though their hours don't mention M-F. you end up getting a recording that does. They gave a help address for their site but it no longer exists. Somewhere there HAS to be a feedback form, but I have not been able to find it. I'd like to get this submitted...and I also want to make sure my credit card doesn't get charged 4 times for this!
Any ideas where I can reach them?

oh, okay.
You will not be able to call Yahoo. Wait til Monday and try again. You may want to wait a few days. In the meantime, you could email them to explain you are concerned that your card might have been charged.

Well, I'd like to do just that! Unfortunatly, I cannot find an email address for them....or a feedback form for them....or anything that would cover website problems in general.
There are all kinds of specific departments, but NOTHING that covers this kind of situation.
Seems kind of ironic to me that they make such a big deal about us having contanct information on each of our pages, and here they are with NO listing at all for any general contact!
Would you happen to have an email address on them?

I found a feedback form. It wasn't for this kind of problem but it was a feedback form for customer service and changing your listings. I hope it will serve the purpose!
Thanks for your help,
Lee

Well I guess I'm not meant to submit to Yahoo. I just got a form reply back from Yahoo saying that unless the subject matter of the email involved changing website information, they would not respond! So much for my email.
I also tried submitting again, and received the same error message. For some reason it does not like Ohio!
I need a looong drink....this is frustrating.

No Lee. You Have to wait til tomorrow. They have a special email for your purpose. It is on the site somewhere.
NOTHING can be done until tomorrow as Yahoo does not work on Sunday.

Well I was finally able to complete my submission to Yahoo. It turns out that the Billing department is making some changes to the site and you must now enter the ABREVIATION for your state instead of spelling it out. They haven't had time to put that in the instructions which is why I kept getting the error. Anyone submitting should be aware of this.:hi:
