Search Engine Promotion Benefits

I was reviewing one or two of my pages earlier and came across the benefits of search engine promotion page. This got me to thinking about what the real benefits are to the consumer.

When I applied my sometimes feeble mind to the matter, I got stuck after two or three. Those being:

Higher sales of products or services through higher visibility.

Clearer navigation structure.

Easier to read page content.

Now I am sure there must be more than this but I seem to have reached a complete writers block on the whole thing.

Any more thoughts?

Just off the top:

Cheap way to advertise.

Very targeted visitors as they let you know what they are looking for by typing it in the search box. Your site comes up and they click to it, ... makes for a very motivated prospect.

lol - I'm all for brevity Hope, but what about branding? You mean building the brand through higher visibility?
