I have only one DMOZ listing, but I want other pages to be listed on other DMOZ categories as well. Will more DMOZ listings increase PAGERANK for my domain?

We have 16 pages last time I looked. Could be more now. I haven't checked in a while. I can tell you that more pages don't really hurt, but I can't say they help either.

It helps
google will see each dmoz listing as a link from a reputable source, and when google directory updates they will also be seen as reputable source links.

I notice that some people say they have hundreds of listings on ODP.
DMOZ says you should only submit your site once.
I would like to have my site (or individual pages of it ) listed in various categories.
If I do multiple submissions could I be 'kicked' from DMOZ?

Welcome to the boards eamonmoriarty
As I said we have several listings in ODP, but they are all completely different subjects. None of them were submitted, the editors chose to place them.
If you do not have any pages listed in the ODP right now, i would concentrate on getting your main page listed. Once you have one page listed, then you can look at the other cats where you feel the site would belong. Once you have found cats you feel it belongs, look at the other sites and compare it to your site. If they are similar in content, then I would suggest you email the editor and tell them that you have a listing, but are interested in another. Make sure you give a specific reason you should be listed in that cat. Explain how your site will benefit the users and the ODP.

Please let us know how you make out with it. It can be difficult sometimes, but many think it is worth it.

The guidelines do ask you to only submit your main page. Not gonna disbute that.
However, it is a human directory, if an editor feels a single page in your site belongs in your category, they can list it. You can also feel free to submit it via normal submission practices.
Just don't spam it.
Do a few at a time, and make sure they are appropriate.

Welcome to the forums eamonmoriarty! :hi:
Good luck with that. Many have a hard time getting one page in, so you need to be patient with more than one. Good luck to you.

Welcome, eamonmoriarty!
More pages and listings in DMOZ of course is a good thing! My feeling is to simply take it very, very slow. You can submit inner, main pages of your site to appropriate categories. Only do it one at a time and leave many months in between. Sometimes you can even get individual articles in DMOZ. It shouldn't hurt to try, but just don't go crazy with it. One thing submitted every few months should be fine.

Glad to hear we're not alone in struggling to have even one page listed in ODP!
We are a well-established internet-based company, ranked very well in most search engines, but ODP is relentless in creating obstacles for us!
After submitting, ODP chose to list 1 or 2 sites that attract very little traffic, and are nearly irrelevant to the company as a whole.
They completely ignored the very obvious, the main/home page.
Is there any method to this madness?
Here are the url's:
http://www.point2generators.com - was listed
http://www.point2.com - wasn't listed

Welcome to the forums lschneider! :hi:
Those two url's look like the same site? That would be the reason they will not add both of them.
Why not just build one big site?
