Perfection

I recently joined the affiliate program Commission Junction (cj.com) and was looking to put some of their advertiser's text links on my site. The thing is, CJ requires you to put a blank 1x1 pixel image next to each text link, which has something to do with tracking the clickthrough or the ad impression or something like that.
So my question is, how do you think search engines would like this? I was thinking of putting each page with an affiliate text link in a separate directory and then disallowing it in the robots.txt just to play to safe. But, the more I think about it, the more I want these pages indexed and ranking well. I actually e-mailed Google this same question just to see what they'd say, but all they did was refer me to their webmaster faq, which didn't help.
So, if anyone has any experience using CJ's text links or anyone has any ideas, lets here 'em.
Thanks.
