Why no ranking in MSN?

I submitted a client site to LookSmart with a keyword "hospitalist" in the description but not in the title. My client gets a top 10 ranking in LookSmart but is not even listed in MSN. Why won't MSN rank a site when it has the keyword in the description? Are there certain words that they'll only rank sites if the word is in the title?

Looksmart's "keyword" thing has zero to do with how you rank in MSN. Oh sure, LS might pass info, etc to MSN, but MSN will do as they please. To give money to Looksmart for anything is basically a crapshoot and one that not very many web sites are willing to do at this point.

Sometimes it takes up to 60 days for M$N to propagate the L$ listings, so I would not worry too much until 60 days after you submitted. (I have even seen it go 90+ days on one site)

I am not referring to the Relevancy Keywords. I mean the actual Description of the listing.

Also, the listing is active in the MSN directory and pulls up under WEB DIRECTORY SITES, it just doesn't pull up for some keywords.

You should probably take it up with LookSmart, as they're the only ones who would know what you should do. Maybe for another $49, they'll let you add the keyword to your Title!
