More on Looksmarts importance

Hi all:

Just ran a ranking search after I got my listing on Looksmart changed last week, and the results are nice:

Looksmart -
"Search engine optimization guide" #7 and #8
"Site promotion guide #3"

But look what Looksmart did for me at MSN (where this site was never ranked before) -

"Search engine optimization guide" #1 (of 38,329)

Note that the term "Site promotion guide" does not appear anywhere in my Looksmart listing but must be in the editors remarks since LS ranks me well for it.


This listing done three weeks ago has also resulted in first page rankings on Fast - 3,4 & 8, Lycos 3, 4, 8, Yahoogle 10

Still down in #20 for Google, but this will doubtless rise as more sites begin linking.

This site has never been submitted directly to any of the above engines. More power to LS.

Real good deal Mel! I will add that the higher quality a site is, the better keyword phrases LS will rank you with. It makes no difference if the phrase is in the description if LS likes the site.
