Anybody notice the top ten most popular link now displays a bunch of goto listings before the actial directhit listings?

I have no problem with a SE using goto results, they have to make money, but I have a problem when they in no way are the most popular listings on the internet...I think that is very misleading.

Geez, I was having a hard time figuring out where those "Partner Sites" were coming from...so it's Goto. Sure doesn't give you a hint on that page.

One question, going off the subject :scattered, how are you posting your individual images underneath your names? Do you add each time you send a message?

Go to your "user cp" button at the top of the page. Then click on "edit options". At the bottom is a button you can choose an avatar for below your name. You can change anything in there including adding a signature file.

You know - one thing that I have noticed, Doug.

Not only are you unlike other forum owners, who discourage the use of signatures but you actually market them quite highly! Very good of you methinks.

I hope you are getting links back from others who are utilising this. I know you have a link from my site. Not that I believe it was or is required, just a decent thing to do, in my opinion.

Let me add one more comment about the signatures:

Since Doug has been so gracious to allow them, we as moderators don't have to worry and police the posts. This could explain why moderators at other forums have their knickers in knots all the time...as it would get very tiresome having to edit signatures. Save the edits for when they really are needed!~ Much more relaxing and friendly here!~ :up:

oh gawd, I would hate to be a moderator elsewhere and have to edit sigs every single day. Very good point JH. The problem is, a sig is a natural thing to do after you are done with the post. People have a tendency to sign their name like this:
