Hi everybody!
As most of you probably know already LookSmart announced its intention to purchase the WiseNut search engine. It has been proclaimed as a potential "Google-killer".
A couple of very interesting articles came out, provided through the Search Engine Watch news team (http://www.searchenginewatch.com). Here they are below:
LookSmart To Buy WiseNut
The Search Engine Report, April 2, 2002 http://searchenginewatch.com/serepo...04-wisenut.html
LookSmart announced its intention to purchase the WiseNut search engine,
which it hopes will turn LookSmart into an "all-in-one" solution for
portals, internet service providers and others who need a search solution.
Wisenut, the Google Killer? Nah...
SearchDay #88, Sept. 5, 2001
http://searchenginewatch.com/search...05-wisenut.html
The media is heralding Wisenut as the scrappy underdog that's supposedly
going to topple Google from its "throne" as the king of web search. Not likely -- here's why.

PS. Let me know your viewpoints about this possible Google rival. I'm interested!
