I was just responding to a post that was there a minute ago...and now it's not...considering my question - maybe I'm just loosing it altogether!

The post was in regard to the Google CPM adword program stopping as of 9/30/02. This is my post:

I recently set up Adwords for my site about 2 weeks ago.

It was VERY frustrating to implement due to the keywords I needed to bid on (free electronic greeting cards and variations). My account wasn't enabled in the advertised "5 minutes" because any account that uses a potential "spam" keyword has to be reviewed manually.

It took me 3 full days of changing ads, daily budget and maximum bid to find a combination that would keep the campaign going. EVERY time I made even a little change - I had to wait for someone to review it manually (required an email request from me). The campaign was working wonderfully for 2 weeks after that. Suddenly, October 1st - it just died....no impressions and no traffic.

I haven't touched my account. There aren't any error messages on my account. I've received no emails from Google (including a response to my last 2 emails asking them what's going on). When I saw this post, I'm thinking maybe I'm setup as CPM adwords.

Okay...stupid questions....what is CPM adwords? How can I tell if I'm set up for this?

hi,

If you have a daily budget, a max cpc then you are in for adwords select ( ie the cpc program).

CPM program - CPM is for original adwords program , which does not exist now, it is calculated as cost per impressions, and it does not have a daily budget and max bid. it only had a maximum spending limit for your entire campaign.

CPC prgram- this program which is currently existing in google is called as Adword Select . It is calculated as cost per click and not impressions. It has a maximum cpc, a daily budget. You do not have to specify a spending limit for the entire campaign.
