Submit on a daily basis

I have recently been put in charge of IM for my company and I currently use Web Position **** for my submissions and reports. I was asked today if submiting to search engines on a daily basis is a good practice?

You ask a good question. Some of my clients are NEVER submitted to any search engines if they are in a directory somewhere.

The answer would be to only submit if you are not in the index as of yet. Resubmitting will do no good. You may want to resubmit if you have changed your content recently but the spiders should automatically find your changes anyway so resubmitting is not necessary.

Your software is okay for checking your ranks, but I would not use it for submission. If you have to submit, submit by hand.

Doug’s suggestion is correct, its the old 'if it aint broke don’t fix it' scenario.
I would suggest checking your rankings and only submit to engines / directories where you are not listed.

IMO Once in an engine leave it to the robots to reflect any changes.

Follow Doug's and highman's advice and you will be fine. If the site/pages are already listed, resubmitting to the engines will not help but to only occupy your day! Once our site was listed in the majors (and I learned better), I have not resubmitted to the engines yet. Now, you may desire to resubmit a page if it's content has been updated, but typically paid indexing may be a better solution for constantly changing content.
