They look pretty close. Just that this dance seems to be going on much longer than usual.

Do you guys know Google reshuffle its index every 2 weeks?

My site relies on a very competitive keyword. I'm on a very close watch on the result of this keyword. That's why I would like to confirm with some experts here.

hey usbnuts, usually shuffle once per month at this time.

Yes it has been once per month, I fear the wind of change is upon us though, we will have to wait and see. If it follows previous updates I reckon on Sept 17th (see above)

Typical updates occur once a month, but I also know some sites (such as CNN) get spidered more frequently (daily in the case of CNN). So, it's curious to know whether the preferred indexing updates the repository outside of the normal monthly indexing.

Before the last update we had a site a #1, on the 19th Aug it dissapeared...... nowhere to be found, as of today its back at #1 (main index #1, www2 #1, www3 #1)#
In its absence it still showed on www2 and 3 as #1 but nowhere in the main db

I think we are in for a wierd update again

I'm not so sure. I did searches on all my keywords. Rankings for all the top 30 sites are the same.

From past experiences, the early stages of the dance appear for moments at a time. You gotta be quick to catch 'em.
