Paid Inclusion Partners Not Updating...again

Anyone else noticed that, even though PositionTech is showing pages to have been refreshed; their partners have not been updating their index. A page of mine is still showing a date of 8/22/2001 and an old description. This was actually altered on the 23rd, so the new description should be visible by now.

This is an intermittent problem, but it becomes very irritating when trying to tweak pages quickly.

This seems to happen quite often. This is also the main selling benefit of "pay for indexing".

Some of my pages haven't been refreshed since 8/25..thats the earliest date on my account...the rest of my pages have been refreshed on 8/26 and 8/27...why are some pages refreshed and others are not? (obviously the pages marked 8/25 should have been refreshed on 8/27 with the others that were refreshed)...

Don't know the answer to this, sorry. I presume that none of the pages that should have been refreshed are showing an error. If it's any consolation, my pages are showing a last refreshed date of 8/25/01. I think they've always shown the date a little behind, but if you are seeing refresh dates of 8/27/01, I will email them.

Be warned however, they don't seem very good at reading email. The last time I had cause to email them, they explained to me in great detail that they had no control over where my site was ranked. Which was nice of them, but not at all what I had asked.

Markymark...you are correct. None of my pages are listed with an error. I just used that form to contact them. Thank you!

My pages still have refresh dates ranging from 8/25 - 8/27....none say 8/28 (i know the day is not over yet but my pages with 8/26 should be refreshed today...). Something is going on...i hope they fix it soon.

Also i added (on 8/26) a few pages from 2 new client sites I've been working on and those pages from Inktomi are coming up in MSN searches already and a few other Inktomi powered engines...hmmmmmm???? I'm completely stumped by Intomi and their refresh rate.....

Looks like the problem may be corrected, as I checked HotBot this morning and all pages reflect either an 8/27 or 8/28 update date.

MsSearch, new additions are most likely processed differently and would not be affected by the paid indexing process until they have been received and included into the regular rotation. We have numerous pages listed through PositonTech (http://www.positiontech), and typically PT will process the pages in "batches" at different times/days.

Nope...i still see pages that haven't been refreshed since the 25th of August..i also checked hotbot and some of my pages have Aug 22 dates on them.

Now i am highly confused and frustrated with PT...i just went into my account and some of the pages that were listed as last refresh on 8/25 now say 8/27 (they said 8/25 this morning...just an hour ago)...but today is the 29th ... Go figure....

Well, PT still hasn't responded to the contact form i submitted so if I don't hear somehting soon i will contact them again....

OK..when i am logged into my PT account..if i keep hitting the refresh button on my browser the refresh dates (partiularly the ones marked 8/25) change a few at a time to 8/27....so now all my pages have refresh dates of 8/25 to 8/28... :eek:


are my pages really being refreshed???? Or is PT just changing old refresh dates to make their clients happy???

I heard that PT will refresh your pages automatically but that does not mean that Ink partner's pages are refreshed as well.

I have to wonder if they are having problems with the "new" keyword tracking system or something. Typically thinks only break when humans start piddling with them. Generally PT is quick to resolve issues, however that in itself should not excuse the problems. And it's especially frustrating when there is a breakdown in communication...
