When you submit a website to Teoma, it crawls your entire site right? What happens when you do paid inclusion for the main page of your website, does it crawl your entire site on a regular basis, or does it simply check that particular page for updates?

If it only refreshes your main page in the database, then is it worth doing paid inclusion for just the main site, if you don't do paid inclusion for the majority of the pages on your site?

If you do paid inclusion with Teoma, do you need to submit your URL regularly to make sure your in their regular database too? Is it the same for AltaVista, Fast, and Inktomi?

Is paid inclusion worth paying for?

I can't find anywhere to submit to Ask/Teoma for free, do they only do paid inclusion now?
Or do they just prefer to find your site on their own through links?

I thought Teoma removed the [free] addurl shortly after Ask bought them out. If you were lucky enough to have submitted and been crawled prior to the acquisition, then it appears Teoma will still remember you and continue to visit and index the site.

Hi Erk121,

I think Ask Jeeves only do paid inclusion now. It is through ineedhits http://ask.ineedhits.com

> Is paid inclusion worth paying for?

In my opinion it is. I signed up in the early days when it was in Beta and received an extra 3 months which was great. However since then I have added hundreds of other URLs (I own a few companies and we have many thousands of URLs) and I believe the traffic from Ask and Teoma pays for the cost and then some :)

I am a lover of Paid Inclusion though, as my sites get a lot of clicks and I don't have to pay a CPC price :)

JuniorHarris: I think your right about Teoma taking down the free link when Ask bought them out.

Hope this helps,
StarFlower

Ask uses the teoma link popularity algorithm, so in order for paid inclusion to be worth while, don't you HAVE to list lots of URLs.

I guess my question is, is it worth it to do paid inclusion just for the main URL of a site? Or is it an all or nothing type deal?

I haven't expieremented much with paid inclusion yet, and i'd like to get some info before I spend the cash for my clients.

Hi Erck121,

I haven't really thought about it that way.

In my case I submit the majority of my site, and this provides great results for me.

Hope this helps.
