Hi all?
Does listing of the site in different (not main!) SE and catalogues would really attract users and rise popularity of the site? For example I have a site listed in main SE and catalogues (e.g. Google, Yahoo, DMOZ etc.), need I try to list my site in numerous other SEs and catalogues? or I will just spare time trying to list my site in Ses and catalogues that most people don't know about.

catalogues = directories?

Don't worry about submiting to anymore Search Engines apart from maybe specilised ones for your industry i.e. I know there's a wicca/witchcraft SE so I would submit our new wicca site to that.

I like to submit to as many Directories as possible just for the PR but to be honest as long as your in Dmoz, Yahoo, zeal/looksmart then it's probably more work than it's worth.

Hi,
Yeah, saying "catalogues" I meant "directories"
Thanks a lot for advice, I got you. Thus I'll concentrate on submitting to specialized SEs and directories.

Welcome to the forums amateur! :hi:

Yes, dinom has the right idea. This is why those auto program that submit you to thousands are a waste of money, time, and can hurt you.
