Does Yahoo effects Google THAT much

Does a severe drop in Yahoo rankings effect the rankings in Google as well. It has happneded with me so i am not sure wether it is due to the recent shuffle....any commnets plzzz

hey farhan, you started two threads with the same question.:) Same response with this one,... Are you talking about the Yahoo directory or Yahoo/Google web page listings?

If Yahoo/Google then yes, your rank will go down also if went down on Google.

i am talking about Yahoo search rankings not the directory ones. but this has nothing to do with Yahoogle.

If you are refering to these types of results:

Then no, I do not believe they will effect your google ranking, being listed in Yahoo! directory may help with google (link pop and pagerank).

I say may as it is not conclusive that a Yahoo! listing carries anymore wieght just because it is Yahoo!

Actually what i meant from search results are the reuslts which are shown from yahoo's own database and not google. yes you can call then directiory listings as well!

Directory site listings have nothing to do with Google ranks other than what highman said.
