The article made some interesting points:

"signing up with Legend will vault AOL Time Warner ahead of rivals such as Yahoo! and Terra Lycos Inc. in building a customer base in the world's biggest country."

This could help AOL strengthen it's hold in the internet market, but there are still a few obstacles...

"Time magazine is periodically banned in China, and its Web site is blocked; and access to CNN is restricted to a small group of approved apartment blocks and hotels."
