Does anybody here know what the problem with the Teoma search engine is? They say they're unable to display Teoma results and pass you off with some alternative (very unsatifactory) results.

What's wrong with TEOMA? You mean other than the fact that they are owned by Jeeves? [wink]

Seriously, though, it seems to be working fine for me today.

Uh-oh. Could you have some scumware mistakenly installed on your computer? Might want to run some checks. If your getting diverted to another search engine, it definitely sounds like the latest in scumware scams.

I tried teoma today for the first time and it displays under the relavant results category : "Note: We are unable to display Teoma results at this time. These are our alternative results" too.

I am pretty sure I have no scumware installed, I got adaware and dont install many so called freebies.
What is their problem? Does that mean that teoma is unable to present decent relevant results? :D

BTW is it worth paying 30$ for askjeeves/teoma for a website aiming uk and usa market (debt collection)? its kinda cheap but is askjeeves used and will it bring some trafic?

AskJeeves in the UK is pretty popular, so with a top ten ranking in Teoma, you should see some traffic from there. The default at Ask.co.uk is 'worldwide sites', by the way.

For 30$, its worth it for a year just to see how much traffic it generates.

Ask Jeeves/Teoma IPList (http://www.iplists.com/new/askjeeves.txt)

Just keep an eye on your log files and keep a record of who refered a visitor to you

I paid for inclusion about 9 months ago for several sites. I get a tiny amount of traffic from Ask- guess it was worth it because it doesn't cost much but still not a great ROI.
