Just got this email reply from a fairly large (over here) Affiliate Program Marketing firm when I asked about their costs to sign up as a merchant.
I have already set up my own - with the very generous help of Deb - and am in the process of testing it. Anyway here is their reply:-
A fixed establishment fee of $750.00 applies and then
a fixed monthly fee of $75.00 per month.
Commissions on sales are determined by you but start
at 5% of the purchase price.
An additional commission charge of 25% of your
commission paid is also payable to us. Eg 5% commission to affiliate + 1.25% (25% x 5%) = 6.25% in total. :eek:
Just thought it might help as a guide to others who are considering setting up affiliate program.
BTW - This mob is NOT regarded as one of the rip-off merchants like Commission Junction so it is probably a fair guide. Seems like this path is strictly for the very large firms or someone with deep pockets.
