Hi guys!
Best wishes for the new year.

I have many picture tumbnails on some of my internal pages and I use java script to open them in new pop up windows to show the pictures in their real size.
As long as the SEs still don't read java I was wondering whether to change my java script to standart html links and in fact to create number of new pages that open these pictures and to place a link on each of them pointing to my home page.
My hope is that this will contribute to the page rank of my home page.
On the other side, these new pages will be only big size previews of my photos and will not contain much text and I am not sure how that will be treated from Google in general.

I will appreciate all you opinions.

Sounds like it might be a waste of your time. If it makes sense for the visitor, it probably makes sense for search engines. If you're just doing it for search engines, it's probably a bad idea.

If there is real content in those windows, it makes sense to make them indexable by changing the way you open them up. What you're talking about here is sticking an extra home page link into pop-up windows. That's not going to really "move the needle" on your rankings.

If what you're doing now makes sense to visitors, and you have a site that's worth linking to, promote it. Get others to link to you. A few more links from other sites will do far more for your rankings than a bunch of contrived links.

The site looks good, but *definitely* quit playing with it, and start working on links from other sites. You don't really have any to speak of right now.

Thanks man. Your are right. I am playing with it a little too much.
On the other side I am recruiting links every day but it takes time.
I hope after google's 2nd dance(hope coming soon) it will make a little difference.
There is one more thing that I am not sure what to do about.
I am thinking to optimizate 2-3 more pages for 2-3 important keywords and to get some links pointing to them. The question is it worth to split the links toward my web site in between a couple of pages or is it best to have my home page as favorite.
Thanks again
