Excite updated today, I got a number 3 for the targeted KW.

My first good listing with Excite!
Actually getting a bit of traffic from it...SHOCKER!

They sure did! I am noticing an increase as well. :)

I see they are back to using the LS listings again in many results.

This is showing me that Excite is not putting much priority on the title of a page now. They are taking the total content of the page and produceing results from that only.

They didn't get my latest changes. Although they did have the Zeal listing which is nice.

Oh well, I don't think people use Excite any more anyway. Buh-bye Excite!

I see no difference. There are a ton of 404 errors for my site. The paths were changed over 8 months ago. If this is an update, they have a few problems with it. I have submitted the 404s to be removed, but they haven't been. I have seen the spider all over the site, but no new pages.

I have to agree with Jill, even on the sites that I have decent and copious listings in Excite the traffic's just not there from them. I get more from Lycos than I do from Excite. A reindexing, while nice to see, just doesn't have the same impact on site traffic as it once did.

Yep, it doesn't look like they actually updated everything. I still have old things showing up there. Oh well...who cares...

Could be they only updated the LS listings, as we still have many older (non-LS) pages listed too.
