I have a Client, in Australia, that is losing a lot of bandwidth to a robot, "ACN - Robot", has anyone heard of it? A search on Google turned up this "http://www.vca.unimelb.edu.au/admin/admin_links/services/html/webstatdata/stats_dec01/BrowserOS.html", a link the the Victorian College of Arts, Melbourne Australia, web stats.
Anyone else heard of this? Is it perhaps an Australian bot?
Any help greatly appreciated!!!

I can't find any helpful reference to it. Isn't ACN something like "Australian Company Number"? That might suggest what it's doing...
What IPs does it use? You may be able to ban it by IP.
In the short term, just try adding:
User-agent: ACN-Robot
Disallow: /
to your client's robots.txt file, and hope that's the correct user agent and that it obeys robots.txt.

It does indeed look like it's from the "land down under." Why it's hitting your clients server is anyones guess, but I did find an acccess statistics page listed in Teoma that gives an email address, so maybe you can drop them an email and find out what's going on. Though as suggested above, the robots.txt file update should do the trick.

I'd just post the email here, but I hate posting them where spam bots might be able to grab them. :(
