Your sitemap doesn't work. Nor does the link "tell a friend".

Hi doniv, :hi:
Aside from what sytemaker mentioned, I can't find any flaws design-wise. Very nice looking site!!!
I was going to mention yesterday that your "Products" drop-down menu was off, but I see you've fixed that.
From a usability standpoint, your text is not resizable, which could be a problem for those with poor eyesight.

yes i know the site map and the tell a frnd does not work.
the web desinger is yet to do tht.
jus consider this
each of the links on the home page go to a individual product page which in my opinion is properly optimized for a keyword.
wht i would like to know if some one does a keyword search in a search engine would those individual pages be ranked hgher or would they even be displayed.
or is it important that the home page be optimised.
is wht i am doin an example of doorway pages?
also i see when we click the backward links using the google toolbar, many sites have their own pages linked
how can i do tht google dos not seem be finiding all my pages?

when i select the show images option and set it as off
all the content on the home pages gets scattered.
i have told the desinger to set an height and width tags for the impages but he say it would be a prob as many images are too small.
any way this could be corrected in cases whr ppl may be browsing with theri graphics option off.

Hi doniv,

wht i would like to know if some one does a keyword search in a search engine would those individual pages be ranked hgher or would they even be displayed.
This will depend on how well you have done the optimisation for each individual page. If it has been done well, then yes, they could acheive high ranks.
or is it important that the home page be optimised. Most would consider your homepage the most important page to optimise.
is wht i am doin an example of doorway pages? Yes. But NOT in the negative sense. All the pages on your site are naturally "themed" to the product/service that your client is offering, but they are each about a different facet all within the same business. So, each might be considered a "doorway" (a way alternative to the homepage to enter the site), which in this instance is not a bad thing. Again, whether these pages are ranked well enough will depend on the optimisation done on each page.
also i see when we click the backward links using the google toolbar, many sites have their own pages linked
how can i do tht google dos not seem be finiding all my pages? Maybe someone more knowledgable than I can answer this one?

One drawback in the current layout with images off is that one can't get to the sub-menus (Products & Brochures).
Your web designer should comply with your wishes, or you should get a new web designer.

I seriously like the design of this, but I think the above comments are spot on.... your web designer needs to make a few changes.
As a web designer my self, I can tell you everything above is EASILY possible and maybe your web designer has a bit of 'i cant be bothered' syndrome.

hi and thx for the links,
i use all of them except the validator
could u tell me of any other one.
i had used the free version in netmechanic but that limits its search
also the validator u mentioned gave me this message when i used it
" I was not able to extract a character encoding labeling from any of the valid sources for such information. Without encoding information it is impossible to validate the document. The sources I tried are:
The HTTP Content-Type field.
The XML Declaration.
The HTML "META" element.
And I even tried to autodetect it using the algorithm defined in Appendix F of the XML 1.0 Recommendation.
Since none of these sources yielded any usable information, I will not be able to validate this document. Sorry. Please make sure you specify the character encoding in use.
IANA maintains the list of official names for character sets.
------- end "
what does all this mean and whr can i find this information from
i have not designed the page that was given outside, and it was created using cute html

Hi doniv,
Get old Netscape browsers here (http://wp.netscape.com/download/archive.html).
Here's Opera (http://www.opera.com/).
To the best of my knowledge, you can only run one version of IE on a single OS at once. Therefore, you'd need either a second computer, or a dual boot on a single machine, to run an older version of IE (someone correct me if I'm wrong, please).
I also suggest you view your pages in AOL. If it's like the USA where you live, you oughta have about a kajillion old AOL CD's lying around. If not, go to the AOL website.
And you should test your pages in a text based browser as well. Here's Lynx (http://lynx.browser.org/).
Find out about
Mozilla (http://www.mozilla.org/).

Google only displays backlinks with a PR > 3-4. It could be that your internal pages do not have enough PR to be listed yet.
