Hi Doug and all. I have been in contact with a group called, trafficlogic.com ( anyone heard of them, good/bad?
They have agreed to assist me in getting more sales via building a site for diet pills that is pure information ( like a dot.org) no sales at all. The they would suggest to purchase the medications go towww...mysite.com.
Would this be considered spam/ethical a good idea? We have agreed on a base fee of $8/sale ( not clicks/impressions leads but true sales) which is fine for me but I am wondering if it is worth the $1,500 up front fee.
help is much appreciated as always :-)

After visiting their site I must say that the concept looks interesting and legit.
I would be curious as to the "hows" and "whats" involved in this genuine valueable content creation. IF they actually create beneficial content that leads people to buy your products then this is proper SEO in it's purist form IMO.
In fact, I think that this methodology was the reason why the famous Jill Whalen (expert SEO) originally joined forces with Heather Lloyd-Martin (expert copywriter).
Concerning the $1500, that is something that you will have to evaluate as being a true value proposition or not. I will tell you that to pay for one page of good content can cost anywhere from $100-25,000; therefore, if they are going to create a large amount (pages) of original SOLID content this might be a good bargin. The decision and real investigation is of course up to you.

ADDED:
I just noticed that Jill moved this thread into the Spam forum, which "could" mean that she is aware of some practices of trafficlogic that I am not aware of that are either unethical or spam.
Also, good content is only ONE facet of a successful site (or even just a high ranking site -- they are NOT always the same). You need to know about the actual SEO capabilities of the firm, as well as the competitiveness of the keyword market. IF the competition is fierce, then they need to know how to identify cloaking and all of the "dark side" tactics used to compete beyond just making pure good content.
In addition to the above, what about link development strategy? It is common knowledge that lots of good links to your content will be needed to get any traction. What are you (or trafficlogic) doing to develop new links for you exactly?

Just a quick note to say I only separated this thread from the other one where it was originally posted (The "Disgusting" thread.) It was already posted in the spam forum, so that's where I kept it. I haven't looked at the site(s) in question, and know nothing about them...good nor bad.

I have no comment to make on trafficlogic as I know nothing about them whatsoever. However, I would suggest that this idea is anti-conversionary.
Your target market should be people looking to BUY diet pills not those people looking for information on them. IE: You want visitors who have already determined to use these things and all your site needs to do is convince them to buy yours.
People doing informational based searches are rarely the same as people looking to buy. Informational searchers could be journalists doing research, people uncertain about the effects of diet pills on their daughter, etc.
Don't really like the idea from a converting a visitor into a customer perspective. Also if this is a separate site it adds at least a couple of clicks to getting visitors where you want them - which is on your order page.

Why dont u make and include information on your own website? You would benefit from popularity and great content, which would help you greatly in SEs.
And u would keep your affiliate fee...

I really wonder about this... I have seen a lot of good internet gurus that advocate that "the more you tell the more you sell." However, I have also seen a lot of people with feelings similar to markymark that feel that lots of information is "anti-conversionary."
My personal experience has been that a mixture is probably the best.
Anyway, this is a good topic, and I hope that more people respond with their own experiences.

Hi all and thanks for the comments.
The reason I am looking for alternatives is because Of things that cam eup in another forum reagrding shaddy practicies by webmaster world people and possible google and how they have affected my rankings/Pr.
I want to know what people think of or if anyone has used Traffic logic and what their opinion of the servie was.
Its seems like a dream true. They want $1,500 up front and for that they will give me 187 SALES, Yes sales not clicks. They would place a pixel on my thank you page and then I ONLY pay them $8 for that sale ( about 22% of my average commission. They would build a site under a new domain, submit to Yahoo ( they pay for the cost) and then let it run. Basically ( since I am an affiliate manager ) this is an affiliate typoe deal. They deduct * for every sale only regardless of the amount of clicks.
It is almost to good to be real to me. I don;t see how I can lose but am concerned if they would be using anything tha could hurt me in the long run.
PS;
heres a link concerning the practice by googel.
PLEASE be aware, I did not write it!! But I do know all about it and agree that this has taken place.
Take it with a grain of salt or... it is not someone just complaining and the writer is very knowlegable about the SE world
