Finally seeing an AV (UK and US) update. New pages, good rankings (number 2 in AV UK for my main phrase), all that stuff. Only taken three months. A little traffic to go with it would be useful though.
And there are no longer any regional databases - there is just local filtering. All the regional stuff has now been transmuted into the main AV DB, so just submit there.

Many of my pages still have their old titles and descriptions. These titles and descriptions were changed about 2 months ago. (at least the rankings haven't moved ;) )
Should I change the titles and descriptions back to what they were? Or will that not make too big of a difference? I just reworded them...keeping the same keyword weights within them.

You probably should not change them as that might confuse AltaVista..... ya know? with all that traffic they produce now, they may not be able to handle all the changes as well. :)

Shouldn't make a difference MsSearch, except if Scooter ever gets around to indexing the new titles and descriptions. The current listings and positions are based on the old titles and descriptions, so it really doesn't matter that the current pages are "different".

I am totally off of AV! I got a message from them saying that Scooter couldn't crawl my site. Any ideas?

It is possible your server was down at the exact time Scooter tried. It could be a number of things but that is the most common.
