Would be curious 2 see if it DID load "65% faster".
I HATE when they don't give you the most important information!!!! INFURIATING!!!!! :horns:

I believe MSN is will be making major advances to capture Google's audience. They are owned by Microsoft and will be making substantial progress in the coming months.

Yeah, get rid of the Looksmart listings that come up on a search and they "would" be making great progress. :)

Tomj,
Not a Microsoft fan here, although I do use a windows operating system. I have not known to do anything right yet, except steal others work, and then try to make it atleast half as good when they get caught.
If they make progress, it will be by accident!
I take my original statement back, the have been able to release inferior operating systems, and get the public debug them, while getting paid for public finding their bugs. So I guess the you can't beat that.
"Sell defective software, have the public test your software for bugs and when they call with a bug, charge them to fix it". You just have got to love Microsoft
They have great security features in XP too! What a joke!

Ok, just want to share something that has worked for me...
Before I got started promoting my two sites, I purchased the Microsoft bCentral "spam" program for auto submissions to MSN, Lycos, and some others. I iquickly, (two days) got positioned very high on the MSN search engine for a number of my key phrases...I continue to get pages from each of my sites to rank high on MSN, Inktomi, Hotbot, and some others. Just can't argue with success as my logs show substantial traffick coming from MSN.

Really, I do not know how they are going to wooo over a Google audience, because they are not a Google.
They have fewer than 1billion pages indexed and they do not have 100% site indexing. So, the best you can hope for in MSN is to get a pointer to what site to go to and that is all. You cannot search for information on pages and accept that you have the sites online that actually have the information.

Why is MSN search so screwed up. Most of the results are not relevant. What is the best way to get listed. I have a looksmart listing that shows. None of my overture listings show. I have submitted to Inktomi with no results.

IMHO, I believe MSN is a quality search engine. Why? Because thier search results show me more relevant results than Google in some markets. I realize results come from Look Smart for web sponsered listings and show up first...so what? I also realize that Google is one of the few non-paid search engines left of any quality. I just don't believe Google is "God".
My point is that in my area of business, more relevant results come from MSN searches than for Google.
I have spent enough time on this forum to know why people don't like various search engines, but I can only atest to what works for me. Most of the results I get for searches on MSN come from the Inktomi results. I'm sure for very competive keywords this may not hold up, as I would expect much more Look Smart and sponsered listings.
In summary, look to see if the benefits outweigh the negatives for each engine. Otherwise you may put all your "eggs" in one Google "basket.

If it works for you, that's fine ... wish I could say the same.
I only ever use MSN searches 'by default' through IE (and not on MY computer!); I rarely get anything useful - and frequently - yes, frequently - get no remotely relevant results.
I'm sure that in certain areas, the advertiser's selected keywords will match with the search term and the advertisers actual content. But I never seem to get that kinda luck!
