Thanks for the quick reply.

It seems to be OK? or It seems to be gone?
I keep getting this:
Server Error
The following error occurred:
Could not connect to the server
The URL I'm trying is www.ussc.alltheweb.com, I'm still seeing the FAST robot crawling my site.

Whats the difference between www.alltheweb.com, www.ussc.alltheweb.com, and http://www.bos2.alltheweb.com besides the fact that one of them doesn't work??
just curious...

I am not sure what you all are saying as alltheweb.com works for me everytime.

Probably not much difference then google's www, www2, and www3 servers.

http://www.bos2.alltheweb.com - is (or was when I last checked) a less filtered index which FAST holds. I have often used it to uncloak poorly cloaked sites from more blatant spam farms ;) Tended to update slightly before the main FAST DB.
www.alltheweb.com is the proper filtered results with fuller spam filters and duplicate filters in place and is the DB which most FAST partners pull from.
www.ussc.alltheweb.com I always assumed was their test bed DB but haven't been able to access it for ages.
Anyone else noted that ATW is now logging click-through data with search term and position? Looks a little like the same way Yahoo does it. You can only see it after you click on a result briefly at the bottom of IE.

No . I can't see anything of that nature, Barry. What am I looking for ?

You have to look in the bottom bar of IE when you actually click on a result. You can't see it when you hover and it is really fast but shows something like:
alltheweb.com/1/go/H/www/yourdomain.com - with the /1/ being the position in the SERPs you clicked on.
A precursor to the tracking data which they say they will be giving to webmasters who are in paid inclusion - maybe?

Thanks for that information MakeMeTop, I can't remember where I first got the ussc. URL from. I've since un-bookmarked that one and bookmarked the main alltheweb URL.
I think it is a good search engine. When I test on +Perth+Scotland I show up in first place :D
But if I leave out the plus signs, only number 5 :(

Nice observations regarding fast. The page uses a onMouseOver to show the correct URL in the status, but a quick eye or view source will reveal exactly what Barry has pointed out.
