I like the design. It is clean and clear, yet still with a touch of personality. I especially like the "Frog Facts" - It gives a bit of whimsy and content to the store.

Ok... some thoughts..

First off all... I'm a simply stupid type of person. I do not like to think so I expect my client customers not to like to think.

Shopping has to be easy, painless and quick. It has to be whatever the client wants to be.

Mr first suggest is employing a top-down navigation. All company, shipping, contact, etc links at the top and bottom of the page.

This opens up the middle part to provide lots of detailed images, content along with the quick select links to the various product categories.

I would also provide a sers shopping cart directly on the page where it lists their cart items as well they can edit quantities, delete items, empty their entire cart or go directly to the "checkout" process.

I would provide in screen sorting capabilities to sort product by price or alphabetically. This in addition to a detailed search program. I like to make search programs javascript pop-ups that then reference back to the parent page (though.. this is more common in store I design for B2B transations).

Your design is not bad.. but today I tihnk web shoppers are much more savvy. If you offer the ultimate shopping experience online.. pricing will not be a consideration. Beat your competition with your site, ease of use, functionality and customer support and you will dominate your market. Especially for something as niche as yours.

I have to bolt for lunch.. I will upload (IF you want to see) an image of a store concept we designed for a B2B site that functions verrrry nicely for my clients. Total order time is less than 60 seconds - product selection, checkout, payment.

Just some thoughts.

A quick look at the code reveals problems;

<body topmargin="0" bgcolor="#ffffee"><div align="center">
<link rel="STYLESHEET" type="text/css" href="/style.css">
<tr>

<td><table width="755" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">

<tr>

The stylesheet call should be inbetwwen the <head> </head> tags and there is no opening <table> tag

I suggest running the site through an HTML validator

Thanks guys- appreciate the input

maartenvr redirected me to this forum and added:

<Does your site look unprofessionaly designed? I really hate to be a mean person but yes. There is not much to it. There is the heather and the rest is just 3 columns with no structure. I am not saying that it is very bad. There is so many sites much much worse. I am saying that it can be improved drastically. Maybe ask for a site review in this forum here. You will get some real good critique that will help your website.>

We were going for a quick loading page that enticed the viewer to the store. Average page view is 8.

Hi..

here is the image..

As indicated this is from a B2B web site between a supplier and a major corporation.

All the same ecommer principals apply.

Moontime.

A few SEO suggestions. Alt tag your image links with the appropriate keyword phrases. You need more matching keyword phrases in your homepage content. More density, more frequency. Get your most important phrase in an H tag. Closing summary should be more keyword rich. Some inside page title tags don't support the targeted keywords. If you PM me, Ill be glad to markup some printouts with detailed suggestions and fax them to you.
